Artichoke Art Studio is hosting a Summer Day Camp for students ages 4-14! Join us in our creative space for an individualized blended art program for every artist. During the month of July, expect lots of art and fun as we explore a new theme every week: anime, the animal kingdom, art zines, and comics! Weather permitting, we will have both outdoor and indoor art workshops where we dive into discussions and work on our projects. Read more about each week-long session below.

DATES
The day camp runs from July 8th to August 2nd, 2024 in one-week sessions.
Session 1 (Anime): July 8 - 12
Session 2 (Animal Kingdom): July 15 - 19
Session 3 (Art Zines): July 22 - 26
Session 4 (Comics): July 29 - August 2
HOURS
Camp:
9 am - 1 pm, Monday through Friday
After Camp Care:
1 - 3 PM (available if >3 campers are interested)
TUITION
Session: $320/week, with a $100 deposit due at registration.
Professional materials are included in tuition.

FOOD
Campers must bring a packed lunch and a reusable water bottle. A snack will be provided. A refrigerator and microwave are available for storing and warming up food.
SAFETY
The kids are cared for and supervised by an experienced teacher with a current certificate in Adult and Pediatric First Aid/CPR/AED.

SESSION 1: ANIME WEEK
Dive into the enchanting world of Hayao Miyazaki! Campers will explore anime masterpieces and craft their own art in Miyazaki's unique style. By the end of the week, they will take home portfolios filled with single-day and multi-day projects.

SESSION 2: ANIMAL KINGDOM WEEK
Embark on a journey with the best animal painters! Kids will create their own artworks inspired by various animal styles and techniques.By the end of the week, they will take home portfolios filled with single-day and multi-day projects.

SESSION 3: ART ZINES WEEK
Discover the world of zines! A zine, pronounced “zeen” (just like the end of the word magazine), is a homemade publication. There are no set-in-stone rules for making zines. A zine can be about anything you’re interested in. Let's make your own fanzines, a zine about something or someone you love! By the end of the week, students will be able to take home their final art zine project.

SESSION 4: COMICS WEEK
Delve into the realm of comics! Explore great comics, then use your imagination to create your own, crafting captivating stories in different styles and techniques. By the end of the week, students will be able to take home their final comic project.
